PALS (Peers Assisting and Listening to Students)

Our main objective is helping freshman/new students transition to the high school environment.  First day of school, Step Up Day, and any day a new student needs directions.

During Parent/Teacher Conferences in the fall we help parents navigate their children's schedules to meetings in the afternoon and early evening.

But we are much MORE than that!

By joining the PALS you will have an opportunity to participate in rewarding activities throughout the year including carving pumpkins for Camp Sunshine, building houses with Habitat for Humanity, collecting hats and mittens for the CMP drive along with Coats for Kids.  In February we make valentines for the veterans in Togus, serve food at Midcoast Hunger Program and assist at the Ecology Center at CREA in Topsham in the spring.

In the past we have fund raised for Paws for Peace, a therapy dog program for veterans; the Lutgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer research and the Maine Children's Cancer Program.  This is currently an ongoing bottle drive at Bootleggers in Topsham.

We meet occasionally during AST when upcoming projects need organizing but mostly communicate via the MTA PALS Facebook page

Do something great in your school and community!  Join us!
